Piperi (Pepper) , Comical, imitative dance in which the dancers rub the floor with various parts of their bodies successively under the commands of a leader who sings first each lyric of the song. It’s the only Pan-Hellenic dance. Other name: The devil’s monks. See also: carnival, bad, beans, comical dance.
